What we collect

• Event bookings. When you book through the website, by phone or by email, we store your name, phone number, email address, number of guests, the event and seating, any special diets and your message. Online bookings also record the time of booking and the language of the page. Each booking is assigned the table where your party will sit.
• Quote requests and enquiries. The quote form opens your own email program, and the website does not store what you type. We only receive the message you send. Other emails and phone calls are handled the same way.
• Using the website. The server processes technical data such as your IP address in order to show the pages. If you accept statistics cookies, Google Analytics collects information on how the website is used (see Cookies below).

Why we use it

We use your details to handle your booking: to confirm it, arrange your table and the food, and contact you if anything changes. Details from quote requests and enquiries are used to answer you and arrange your event. The legal basis is providing the booking or service you asked for.

You give special diet information yourself and voluntarily. We use it only to make sure your food is prepared to suit you, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

We do not share your details for marketing and do not send you advertising without your permission.

Newsletter

If you join our mailing list using the form on our website, we store your email address, the time you joined, your IP address and the language you used. We send you a welcome email and after that news from Sininen Talo about once a month. The legal basis is your consent.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the end of every email or by writing to info@sininentalolusi.fi. Your address stays on the list until you unsubscribe. We follow summary statistics such as the number of opens and link clicks to make the newsletter more interesting.

Who processes it

Bookings are handled by Sininen Talo staff and by Alina Cakes & Catering, which runs the food at the house and processes booking details on behalf of Quintus Oy.

We use these service providers:

• Google: email, booking list, booking system, sending booking confirmations and visitor statistics (Google Analytics)
• Hostingpalvelu.fi: website hosting and Sininen Talo email
• MailerLite: newsletter mailing list and sending the newsletters. The data is stored in the EU.
• Anthropic: automatic sorting of incoming emails (for example order, quote request or cancellation) so that no message gets lost. The AI makes no decisions; our staff handle every request themselves.

Cookies and visitor statistics

We use Google Analytics only if you accept it in the cookie notice at the bottom of the page. It tells us, for example, which pages are read, where visitors come from, which devices they use and how many open the booking form, so we can improve the website. We do not use advertising cookies and do not link the statistics to your name or booking.

• _ga and _ga_C1YSEDWHRD (Google Analytics): tell visitors apart in the statistics, kept for up to 2 years. Statistics are kept in Analytics for 14 months.
• st_evasteet (necessary): remembers your cookie choice.
• Event list (necessary): your browser briefly stores the public list of events so the page loads faster. It contains no personal data.

You can change your choice at any time from the Cookie settings link at the bottom of the page.

Transfers outside the EU

Google, Anthropic and MailerLite may process data outside the EU and EEA, for example in the United States. These transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

How long we keep it

Booking details are kept for 12 months after the event. After that, names, contact details, special diets and messages are deleted automatically. Only the date, the event and the number of guests remain for statistics, and they cannot identify anyone.

Quote requests and other messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with them. Anything related to invoicing is kept for the period required by the Finnish Accounting Act.

Your rights

You have the right to see your data, have it corrected, ask for it to be deleted or its processing restricted, object to processing and receive your data in a portable format. Send your request to info@sininentalolusi.fi.

If you believe your data is processed unlawfully, you can complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).

We update this policy when our services or the law change. The latest version is always on this page.
